IAG was delighted to sponsor the first ever Guernsey night surf in support of the Guernsey Surf Club and the Guernsey Mind mental health charity.
This unique event proved to be an exciting and fun evening for everyone, with a great turnout of local surfers showcasing their skills in perfect surfing conditions….but under floodlights!
The night surf was the brainchild of IAG employee and Guernsey Surf Club member Owen Hunt, who saw the event as an opportunity to increase the profile of the Guernsey Surf Club and raise funds for a charity doing fantastic work for the local community.
Martin Scott, director at IAG, said: “At IAG, we believe in the value of unique and memorable experiences and were delighted to support the Guernsey Surf Club and Guernsey Mind by sponsoring the night surfing, particularly when this great idea came from one of our own team in Owen.”
Owen Hunt, organiser of the event, said: “Living on such a small island you are always limited in what you can do. I have always liked to push the boundaries whilst on the Rock. I couldn’t think of a more exciting and fun event to run to raise money for charity and to support our up and coming young surfers.”
“I have worked alongside IAG for the last four years advising MedicX Fund. They have provided a consistent, well-organised team who are always available at short notice to help us get deals done."
