We are pleased to announce IAG’s appointment as administrator to Ocelot Partners Limited (“Ocelot”), a Special Purpose Acquisition Company (“SPAC”) domiciled in the British Virgin Islands. Ocelot has been created to pursue the acquisition of a company or business (“the Acquisition”) operating within the European Technology, Media and Telecommunications (“TMT”) sector.
A SPAC is an investment fund that raises money through an IPO on a recognised public stock market and invests in a single private equity type transaction through merger or acquisition.
Ocelot successfully completed its US$425 million IPO on the main market of the London Stock Exchange in the first quarter of 2017 and is the fifth SPAC administered by IAG, bringing the total capital raised by IAG-administered SPACs to US$3.6 billion.
Ocelot was founded by LionTree Partners LLC (“LionTree”) together with Andrew Barron and Martin E. Franklin. LionTree is an international investment and merchant banking firm founded by Aryeh B. Bourkoff with a focus on the TMT sector. Mr Barron has over 24 years of experience in the European TMT sector and has led substantial businesses in that sector under both public and private ownership. Over the last 10 years, Mr Franklin, together with various partners including Bill Ackman, Nicolas Berggruen and Noam Gottesman, has been involved in six SPACs. These include Nomad Holdings Limited, Platform Acquisition Holdings Limited and Justice Holdings Limited, all administered by IAG.
IAG’s flexible service offering enables us to tailor our services to the underlying client’s needs, including full accounting services up to Acquisition as well as regulatory and company secretarial support.
